Read This Op-Ed on 11-Year-old Naomi Wadler's March for Our Lives Speech
“I’m here to say never again for black girls, too.”
Naomi Wadler brought tears to the eyes of thousands of onlookers when she spoke at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. The 11-year-old spoke out in support of girls and women of color affected by gun violence across the country, and in a recent Teen Vogue op-ed, writer Taylor Crumpton reflects on the impact of the speech, saying: “Naomi spoke with the authority of generations of black women who have come before her, who have held society accountable for its crimes against black women and girls in the United States.”
